One honest limit: if the part your door needs is a less common size or an older imported opener board, it isn't always on the truck or on the shelf, and we'll tell you that up front rather than promise same-day on something we'd have to order. Most spring, cable, and roller jobs don't run into that problem. Full opener swaps on oddball brands sometimes do.

We don't publish a roster or a truck count, because that number changes and it isn't the part that matters to you. A lot of that stock dates to between 1967 and 2001, with the heaviest concentration from the 1980s and 90s. That means a lot of original torsion springs are past their cycle count, and a lot of openers from that era are chain-drive units nearing the end of their service life. Whoever shows up at your door has probably replaced the same spring size on three other houses on your street.

We work on doors and openers. We don't do new garage construction, and we're not a general contractor - if your call is really about framing or a new opening, we'll say so instead of taking the job anyway.

Broken torsion springs are the most common call, especially on doors original to houses built in that 1967-2001 window - the springs simply age out. Bent tracks, snapped cables, and rollers that have worn down to the point the door shudders on the way up are close behind.

Winters here sit in the severe end of the cold climate band, and that shows up in specific ways: steel sections contract and bind in the track, nylon rollers get brittle and crack, and openers that ran fine in October start grinding or stalling once temperatures drop for good. We get a real run of those calls every winter.
